This is my first copy of Michael Crichton’s The Lost World. I got it from a local bookshop when it was first released around 1995.
I remember very well reading it the first time. I must have been 13 or 14 years old. It got me confused for a long time though. There another island? Malcolm Lives?? Is Sarah Harding related the Gerald Harding? But as a kid, I did like it. I’ve re-read it on my Kindle after a long, long time past summer and wasn’t that impressed any more tbh.
Back to the cover of the Dutch book. I just LOVE this design. It’s so striking and very Jurassic Park-alike. As far as I know it was designed for the Dutch speaking market only.
