My good friend Tim over at Collect Jurassic was kind enough to send me some Mattel Jurassic World items that are a bit harder to track down here in Belgium. I had a good time opening this box and checking out all the great new toys that Mattel is putting out for the Jurassic World Dominion movie and the past movies as well through the Legacy line. What’s a Super Colossal Speed Dino?
Posted on — Leave a commentThe Super Colossal T-Rex was among the first few dinosaurs I purchased back in 2018 when Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was released. Since then Mattel has released quite a few more Super Colossal dinosaurs like Indominus Rex, Velociraptor Blue and Carnotaurus “Toro” from Camp Cretaceous. For the new Dominion film, Mattel is putting out even more of these oversized dinosaurs. Giganotosaurus was again one of the first dinosaurs I purchased from this new toy line. And the other day another colossal arrived: Atrociraptor which was known as Speed Dino in early reseller lists to avoid spoilers. Check out this @Jurassic.Toys…

Posted on — Leave a commentThree Extreme Damage dinosaurs were released last month as part of Mattel’s Jurassic World Dominion toy line. These dinosaurs featured the new Extreme Damage effect that can be triggered by pushing a button on the back of the dinosaur. The permanent scratches on both of its sides will then turn red. For the Roarin’ Allosaurus, Mattel opted to go for the “sliding hatch” effect they first introduced with their Battle Damage line in 2018. Pushing down the “hatch” will show its rib cage that can be lifted up and reveal soft tissue beneath. Check out a quick video review of…
Relic from the past…
Posted on — Leave a commentLast month I went for a Jurassic World Dominion toy hunt recently at a nearby toy shop. While they didn’t have that much toys from Mattel’s new toy line, I did manage to find something quite particular. Hidden behind the Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous Extreme Damage T-Rex, there was a toy figure that will make many Jurassic fans shudder by just the looks at it. Hasbro has been releasing the Jurassic toys since 1993, starting with the original Jurassic Park film through their Kenner branch which they took over in 1991. The Kenner line is still being praised today for…
Jurassic World Dominion Barbasol cans
Posted on — Leave a commentSince the release of the first Jurassic Park movie, Barbasol and the Jurassic Universe are intertwined forever. Dennis Nedry tried to smuggle dinosaur embryos in a modified Barbasol can out of the Jurassic Park laboratory. After getting a run in with a Dilophosaurus, tthere was no happy end for Nedry’s story arc. The Barbasol can disappeared under a thick layer of mud while the Spitter divoured the InGen computer programmer. Now almost 30 years later, THAT Barbasol can resurfaced in stores with a special edition release among other designs inspired by Jurassic World. https://www.instagram.com/p/CdK–Brq9i_/ This is the third time that…
Does disappointment come in small packages?
Posted on — Leave a commentCaptivz Jurassic World eggs are just great. Opening these truly contain fun surprises. Sticky slime and a miniature dinosaur from the Jurassic universe. And a pog that can be used to play a game with your friends when you have collected them all. So when I found these blue Jurassic World eggs, my curiosity was immediately triggered. The package says they were made by Undercover GmbH in Germany. Looking at the shelf near the cash register, they made similar suprise eggs for Spider-Man, the Disney Princesses and other brands. Grabbing 4 (FOUR!) of them, I should have know my expectations…
Jurassic World Captivz Clash Edition eggs [video]
Posted on — Leave a commentCaptivz has been releasing their Jurassic World eggs for some time now. Inside the eggs is some sticky slime and a random dinosaur from the Jurassic-universe. Some of these dinosaurs are more rare to find and are painted in a metalic color, like the bronze Indoraptor that was in one of our eggs as you can see in the video below… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xk_ehZ6Uv6Q
