Since the release of the first Jurassic Park movie, Barbasol and the Jurassic Universe are intertwined forever. Dennis Nedry tried to smuggle dinosaur embryos in a modified Barbasol can out of the Jurassic Park laboratory. After getting a run in with a Dilophosaurus, tthere was no happy end for Nedry’s story arc. The Barbasol can disappeared under a thick layer of mud while the Spitter divoured the InGen computer programmer. Now almost 30 years later, THAT Barbasol can resurfaced in stores with a special edition release among other designs inspired by Jurassic World. https://www.instagram.com/p/CdK–Brq9i_/ This is the third time that…

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Barbasol cans
Posted on — Leave a commentJurassic Park fans know that Barbasol has a strong association with the brand. It was one of their cans after all that was used to smuggle the dinosaur embryos of the island in the first Jurassic Park film. Now 25 years later, they’re once again attached to the franchise. For the release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Barbasol is releasing cans with images from the 2018 blockbuster. They surprised me with (empty) cans of their Sensitive Skin shaving foam with the Indoraptor image and the Soothing Aloe with Blue’s image. In 2015, similar cans were produced for the first Jurassic…

I had no idea these were going to be released…

Jurassic World toy store displays
Posted on — 1 CommentIt’s a shame taking photos in a toy store wasn’t that obvious or even considered normal back in 1993, because I loved seeing those shelves stuffed with Jurassic Park toys. These days it’s a lot easier with an iPhone in your pocket, so I took these photos the past few months at different toy stores. These three photos I took today at a Dreamland toy store in Belgium. It shows the standard Hasbro standee. Somehow a Jada RC Jeep Wrangler ended up in there too. The next photo was taken in May 2015 when the toys just hit the stores here.…
