Our Top 5 Best Hasbro Jurassic Park Repaints

Hasbro’s Jurassic Park toy lines often relied on repaints to keep things fresh, sometimes with mixed results. But every once in a while, they struck gold—taking existing sculpts and giving them bold new color schemes that made them even more exciting than the originals. Today, we’re counting down the five best Hasbro Jurassic Park repaints that truly stood out!

5. Tyrannosaurus Rex (2005)

In 2005, Hasbro re-released a T. rex figure from the Jurassic Park III line with an alternative color scheme. While the original Jurassic Park III versions were often criticized for their overly bright colors, this repaint gave the T. rex an interesting look of brown/grey tones with red stripes. Even though the finishing and detailing is on the budget-side, it definetely is one of the better figures in the Hasbro 2005 line.

4. Battle Growlers Triceratops (2009)

Jurassic Park Triceratops (2009)

Hasbro’s Jurassic Park 2009 line featured several repaints of existing molds, but one of the best was the Battle Growlers Triceratops. This version took the sculpt from Jurassic Park III Triceratops and gave it a striking new green and blue color scheme. The added paint details on the frill and body gave it a much more dynamic look, making it one of the more eye-catching Triceratops figures Hasbro released. While it wasn’t a huge departure from previous versions, the color choice made it stand out in any collection.

3. Battle Growlers Dilophosaurus (2009)

The 2009 Battle Growlers Dilophosaurus was another fantastic repaint that improved on previous versions of the figure. Instead of the more traditional green-and-yellow Dilophosaurus designs, Hasbro gave this one a deep red and brown color scheme with yellow accents. This darker, more menacing look helped it feel more like a true predator, making it one of the best-looking Dilophosaurus figures outside of Kenner’s original releases.

2. Camo-X-Treme Night Velociraptor (2002)

The Camo-X-Treme line focused on dinosaurs adapting to their environments, and the Night Velociraptor was one of its most striking designs. Featuring a sleek black-and-gray camouflage pattern, this raptor looked like the ultimate stealth predator. While other figures in the line embraced bold, unconventional colors, this one stood out with its dark, menacing aesthetic, making it an instant fan favorite when it was released.

1. Camo-X-Treme Arctic Tyrannosaurus Rex (2002)

Taking the top spot is one of Hasbro’s most unique and coolest repaints—the Camo-X-Treme Arctic T. rex. This figure took the classic Jurassic Park III T. rex sculpt and reimagined it with a bold white, blue, and red color scheme, making it look like a Rex adapted for snowy environments. While the idea of an Arctic T. rex doesn’t exactly fit Jurassic Park canon, the striking paint job made this one of the most visually distinct T. rex figures Hasbro ever released.

Hasbro may not have always been known for innovation, but these repaints showed that with the right colors, an existing figure could become something completely new. Whether it was stealthy camo Raptors, snow-covered T. rexes, or battle-ready Triceratops, these figures stood out as some of the best Hasbro ever produced.
