The Tiger GigaPets Baby T-Rex from The Lost World: Jurassic Park was a virtual pet toy released in 1997 by Tiger Electronics as part of the popular Giga Pets line. This particular version was based on the iconic Jurassic Park franchise, allowing players to care for a baby Tyrannosaurus Rex. Like other Giga Pets, users were responsible for feeding, playing with, and monitoring the health of their virtual pet. The Baby T-Rex required constant attention, needing regular food and care to thrive, which made it similar to other virtual pets of the era like Tamagotchi.
This toy was also released with a different packaging of the Tiger’s Giga Fighters series, which included tie-ins with various franchises like Batmand and Robin, Men in Black and Mortal Combat.
