The Tyrannosaurus Rex Ambush Pack was introduced in 2023 as part of the Jurassic World: Dino Trackers series under the Legacy Collection. This set is inspired by scenes from The Lost World: Jurassic Park and features a newly designed Extreme Chompin’ T. rex, modeled to resemble the “Buck” from the film. It also includes a figure of Ian Malcolm, replicating his look from the movie, as well as the Gatherers’ Mercedes-Benz M-Class vehicle. The vehicle comes with a removable cover that serves dual purposes: it has slots on either side for storing capture gear and includes a bubble dome that can be opened and closed.

The Legacy Collection Mamenchisaurus paid homage to the long-necked dinosaur seen in The Lost World: Jurassic Park. This figure captures the impressive size and distinctive features of the Mamenchisaurus, known for its incredibly long neck. Designed with a focus on movie accuracy, the toy boasts multiple points of articulation, allowing collectors to pose the dinosaur in various lifelike stances.

The Velociraptor Containment Chaos Pack was launched in 2023 as part of the Jurassic World: Dino Trackers series within the Legacy Collection. This playset includes a repackaged Robert Muldoon figure, two new park worker figures, and a repainted Velociraptor from the core Dominion toy line, now featuring glowing eyes. It also comes with a raptor cage and various accessories, including removable vests, knee pads, walkie-talkies, a flashlight, taser prod, and Muldoon’s signature shotgun. This set is a tribute to the iconic opening scene of Jurassic Park.

The John Hammond Legacy Collection figure was the first SDCC-exclusive Jurassic World toy by Mattel. It was also the first action figure of the legendary Jurassic Park character. The toy came with his iconic cane and an incubator with hatching Velociraptor.

The Extreme Chompin’ Spinosaurus was released in 2019 as part of the Jurassic World: Legacy Collection. This toy features a biting action activated by a button located on the back of its neck. For the Jurassic World: Dino Rivals series, the figure was repainted in a light blue and yellow color scheme and updated with battle damage details. The original sculpt was later re-released in the Camp Cretaceous toy line, with a slightly modified paint job to more accurately reflect the Spinosaurus from Jurassic Park III.

The Mattel Jurassic World Legacy Collection stood out because of its dedication to recreating the beloved moments from the original films, yet maintaining some play features, unlike the Hammond Collection that would be released later. Though they aren’t just about play—they’re about preserving the nostalgia and magic of the Jurassic franchise. Each figure was crafted with plenty of details referring to the original source material from the movies .
