Big milestone for Jurassic Toys – The Museum
Posted on — Leave a commentJurassic Toys was always intended from the start 20 years ago to be a website where I could display my Jurassic Park collection, giving everyone around the world the opportunity to get to look into my Jurassic life. With the launch of Jurassic Toys – The Museum, I finally achieved everything I wanted from my website: give the visitors the possibility to browse the collection the way they want: sort by movie, manufacturer, release year, subline, toy type and so on. However, registering and photographing over 1100 objects takes some time, but a major milestone has now been reached! Over…

Jurassic Tamagotchi are hatching again
Posted on — Leave a commentIf you’re of a certain generation, you’ll remember the Tamagotchi hype from the mid 1990’s. Everyone was going crazy for the virtual pets that were created by Bandai in Japan. Soon, many other companies jumped the bandwagon and made similar toys in all shapes and kinds. The premise of a virtual pet is that you take of a virtual pet like a bird or dog that needs to be fet, entertained or played with at regular times to prevent it from “passing away”. The success of these virtual pets was so huge, that companies started releasing licensed versions, which included…
Third Jurassic Park film turns 21
Posted on — Leave a commentJurassic Park III turned 21 on July 18 and while that’s a great excuse to look back at the (mediocre) toy line that was released by Hasbro to accompany the film’s release, there’s another major toy company that helped build anticipation for the third Jurassic film: the LEGO Group. In the early 2000’s there was no such thing as movie-inspired LEGO sets like we have now for Harry Potter, Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, Jurassic World and many more. With Star Wars being the only exception which had an X-Wing turned into a brick model in 1999, followed by sets…
