Description

The Triceratops assembly kit was produced as part of Armando Curcio Editore’s 1993 weekly Jurassic Park series, released by the Rome-based Italian publisher founded in 1927 that was famous for encyclopedias, fascicle publications, and children’s educational content.

This weekly newsstand collectible featured the powerful three-horned dinosaur with a sturdy, lifelike design, accompanied by a large illustrated poster capturing both the Triceratops’ strength and its vulnerability from the film’s memorable sick scene. As one of six iconic dinosaurs in Curcio Editore’s series, the Triceratops represented the emotional depth brought to the species in Spielberg’s blockbuster. The publisher’s financial collapse and bankruptcy in early 1994, just months after the series launched, transformed these kits into rare pieces of Italian Jurassic Park memorabilia from the film’s original release year.
