Description

Hasbro’s 2016 Jurassic World Hybrid toy line was an extension of their offerings inspired by the film, featuring enhanced dinosaur designs that combined features from various species to create fictional, genetically modified creatures. Iconic hybrids included figures like the Stegoceratops (a mix of Stegosaurus and Triceratops) and the Dilophosaurus Rex, with vibrant colors, exaggerated features, and action-based mechanics aimed at boosting playability. However, the line received mixed critical reception. While some appreciated the creativity and connection to the movie’s theme of genetic experimentation, others criticized the exaggerated designs, lack of screen accuracy, simplistic sculpts, and limited articulation. Many longtime fans and collectors were disappointed by the departure from the realism and quality of previous Jurassic Park toy lines.
