This really neat Jurassic Park puzzle is one of my most recent finds at a thrift store. And it was just 0,50 EUR! It’s made by Hasbro’s MB and features 100 pieces. The photo quality isn’t that great when you look up close, but who cares! This is a great and incredible cheap addition to the collection!

Jurassic World Dino Hybrid Carnoraptor
Posted on — 2 CommentsCarnoraptor is yet another slightly altered dinosaur from the Jurassic World Bashers & Biters line. This “hybrid” combines the Velociraptor and the ever popular Carnotaurus. The idea sounds neat and the model that’s featured on the back of the package looks kinda ok. The final figure however does not look as good. It looks a lot bulkier, not as sleek or menacing, especially the head sculpt. The snout is too short, for both raptor and Carnotaurus. The paint job uses too many read. This would have been a great opportunity to bring back the original paint scheme of the Jurassic Park…
Re-Ak At-Ak T-Rex
Posted on — Leave a commentWhen the Jurassic Park III toys were released, I never really cared much for the Re-Ak At-Ak T-Rex. Maybe because it was such a departure from the Kenner style dinosaurs that were released for the previous toy lines. However, when I got a loose copy in a bigger lot, I started to appreciate this sculpt a bit better. The T-Rex features the Re-Ak At-Ak action, meaning when you push the button in its neck, its mouth will open and a roar will sound. When you push the button its wound, another sound can be heard. The colours kind off match those…
Jurassic World Dino Hybrid Dilophosaurus Rex
Posted on — Leave a commentHands down the Dilophosaurus Rex is Hasbro’s weirdest Jurassic Park-themed toy EVER. If you thought the T-rex from the “Bashers and Biters” line was awful, well take a look at this monstrosity. Is there anything good about this figure? I guess not, it has a terrible sculpt, jerky action, and a horrible, horrible paint job. What’s up with the shiny gold Hasbro? A hybrid combining a Dilophosaurus and T-Rex could have been epic, but they seriously messed up by using that Basher & Biters sculpt and just stick a frill on it. If you felt bad for Hasbro for loosing the JP…
The Lost World Velociraptor
Posted on — Leave a commentThis Velociraptor is a re-release of the original Velociraptor that came out as part of the Jurassic Park toy line back in the early ’90s. Unlike the original version, The Lost World one comes with complete new capture gear and a new paint job. Just like the original version it will snap when you squeeze its legs together. When the capture gear is on, it “breaks free” by launching the muzzle forward. The colours of this Velociraptor are quite different compared to the original. A more vibrant brown is used along with a weird blue-ish shading on its neck. The eyes stand…
Jurassic Park series 2 Kenner Action Toy Guide

Posted on — Leave a commentThis is my first copy of Michael Crichton’s The Lost World. I got it from a local bookshop when it was first released around 1995. I remember very well reading it the first time. I must have been 13 or 14 years old. It got me confused for a long time though. There another island? Malcolm Lives?? Is Sarah Harding related the Gerald Harding? But as a kid, I did like it. I’ve re-read it on my Kindle after a long, long time past summer and wasn’t that impressed any more tbh. Back to the cover of the Dutch book.…
Jurassic Park III: Raptor Attack Playset
Posted on — Leave a commentThe Raptor Attack Playset is a repaint of the Jurassic Park Command Compound gate, fences and weaponry. It comes with 2 exclusive figures: Alan Grant and a Velociraptor. Both are repaints from the Jurassic Park III Raptor Motorcycle Pursuit set. The Jurassic Park gate (although not featured in the Jurassic Park III movie) is this time painted, unlike the original Command Compound version. It features an aged wooden look with hints of red. The fences are painted metalic silver and not grey/blue like the original ones. Since I won’t open my boxed Jurassic Park items, I’ll show some close-ups from…
The Lost World Tombola chocolate eggs
Posted on — 3 CommentsThese eggs by Tombola released in 1997 in different countries around the world. The package was distinctively The Lost World themed with its green tones, the T-Rex head and the black and yellow danger banner. The chocolate eggs had a surprise inside: a miniature dinosaur. There were in fact 16 different ones that could be collected, but they were not related to Jurassic Park or The Lost World. They were tacky looking and made out of soft plastic. The choice of dinosaurs was really weird as well, like Moropus (not even a dinosaur, but a mammal from the Miocene era) or Palaeoscincus…
